Privacy Policy

Effective: July 13, 2026

Wedster ("we", "us") is a wedding planning and inspiration app. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

What we collect

Account information. When you create an account we collect your email address, a display name, and an optional profile photo.

Content you create. Videos, photos, posts, comments, playlists, saved songs, and planning documents you choose to publish or save. Content you publish to Inspire or the Journal is public and visible to other users.

Location. With your permission, Wedster uses your device location while you are using the app to show you nearby content — for example, how close a Marketplace item is, or wedding inspiration from your area. If you share an Inspire post you may also attach a location to it. We do not track your location in the background, do not build a history of your movements, and do not share or sell location data. The app works if you decline location access.

Camera, microphone, and photo library. Used only when you choose to record or upload a video or photo. We never access them in the background.

Usage information. Basic counts tied to content (views, likes, saves) and standard technical logs kept by our infrastructure provider for security and reliability.

What we do NOT do

We do not sell your personal information. We do not show third-party advertising. We do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.

How we use information

To operate the app (accounts, feeds, chat between buyers and sellers in the Marketplace), to keep the community safe (content reporting, moderation, blocking, and rate-limiting abuse), and to maintain and secure our systems.

Where your data lives

Wedster runs on Google Firebase (Google Cloud) in the United States. Data is encrypted in transit. Third-party media players you choose to interact with — Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube embeds — load content from those services under their own privacy policies.

Moderation

Public content can be reported by any user. Reported content is reviewed by our team and may be hidden or removed. We keep moderation records (who reported, what action was taken) to keep the community safe.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account inside the app. This permanently removes your account and personal data from our systems, subject to short retention required for security and legal records.

Children

Wedster is not directed to children under 13, and you must be at least 13 (or the minimum age in your region) to use it.

Changes and contact

If we change this policy we will update this page and the effective date above. Questions or requests: support@wedster.app.
